Seba Rashii – Featured Artist
Today we are featuring the work of Seba Rashii, an experimental artist from Liverpool who has some interesting work that is available for viewing and purchase on Artybuzz.
Seba Rashii is creative person resident in both his own world and everyone else’s. Taking inspiration from the natural images found in both urban and more remote areas, Seba uses them as muses to create a more surreal or hyper active version of the original item. Occasionally images merge into something entirely different and often they retain their original characteristics whilst having a definite Seba Rashii edge to it. But the camera is not the only tool to hand. A love of language and how to visually represent it also plays it’s part in Seba’s work. Many a piece is based on a quote or cultural epithet and this is part of the way life plays out according to Seba.

Being a prolific writer, notably on his highly pointed blog, appropriately titled The Official Blog of Seba Rashii, there is a literal element to all his work that embodies a sense of humor, a colorful element of surrealism and above all a point of view that is unique to Seba and Seba alone. Added with the influences of street art, language, music and his time spent in Japan this a veritable brew of almost abstract Jazz like imagery and ideas.
In the future Seba hopes to extend his knowledge of the world at large, make a return to the canvas and spread the message of Seba to the world via his art, photography and writing.
